Seems to me like she needs a stump grinder. This is 40-50 trees I'm going after here and it seems like it is a bit impossible.

Is a stump grinder an option?

For that many trees, it might make your life a whole lot easier, and your customer a lot happier. Find out what it would cost to rent a smaller one, or to have someone do it, talk it over with her, and come back at the end of the job and take them all out at once.

Since we are not talking about a full stump removal, it could go pretty quick with the right machine and operator.

I have been cutting stumps low enough for mowers to go over for years. Failing to cut low enough to mow over is begging for a complaint around here.

Do the extra work, get down to within 1" of the dirt, and be done with it. You should be able to cut all day long without trashing a chain. Except for included junk like rocks, of course.

Nope they pay me to grind or get a footstool.

This is a different market. We grow weeds and trees like nowhere else; and everybody expects to be able to mow after the trees are cut down. Fail to make it mowable, and you will be unpopular.

Which is why they pay me to grind lol:cheers: It is included on all my removals
