So to make a long story short. My grandpa only had one hand.No he did not"lose" his other one, He got it caught in the snapping rollers on an old one row picker. So they know where it went. LOL
Anyhow My grandpa heated soley with wood.He used to use an S10 stihl. But he got sick late in life and my father and aunt hid it from him.. So he would not be cutting wood. So he drove himself to town and bought a new 015 probablyin the mid seventies. It has not seen a lot of use still on original bar and we think 2nd chain.Dad has had it at his place for several years using it very little. Today he said "You might as well be using it to limb" so he handed it over to me. It had not been ran in 3-4 years. I poured the gas out, poured in some fresh ,checked the airfilter and poured a teaspoon full in the throat of the carb., Pulled it and it fired right up.I cut a bunch of maple limbs this evening smiling the whole time. How light and powerful it seems for such a tiny critter.

Yeah I know someone will want pics.. Tomorrow....

good luck with the saw it's nice to own a saw that has been in the family for so long . ive got a old homelite wizard that was my dads i use it a little makes a nice conversation peice.

I have an 015L, they are great little saws! I noticed that these saws have some pretty decent power for their size. Great for all those smaller projects around the house.

actually will out cut my Jonnyred 2036

and my 7900, and If I had a husky..LOL
No but seriously the small saw does seem to have quite a bit of torque for an old small saw.
