Welp, so much for popularity, I'm out!!

I wouldn't have a 270, or 280 for that matter, shoved up my backside!!! Been there, done that, the Husky 350 outcuts both, for a LOT less money!:deadhorse:

Really? My 280 will outcut my cutting buddies 260 Pro. I can't say enough about the 280. Nice broad powerband and it balances very well.

In the Mix

Goin to the dealer on Thursday to pick up the saws. I know He's gonna throw me the sales pitch on 2 cycle mix. So what's the deal. Stihl makes 3 different mixes. Do I need any of them? I heard of guys using Mobil 2 cycle syntec but I'll let the pros decide. I feel this dealer is being fair with the prices of the saws (not gettin the best price) I just dont want to get ripped off with unecessary extras.

The mix is not an expensive part of running a saw... If it was me, I'd run synthetic from day one -Stihl Ultra, or the Mobile product. The Stihl Super (black bottle - synthetic/dino blend) is a good compromise.

Do an AS search on "mix" - there are thousands of posts on the subject.

I find that hard to believe, but at least the Husky weights quite a bit less

I find that very likely, no real reason that it shouldn't....;)

Thanks for the info. I didn't pick them up yet so maybe I can get a better deal out of him. As for the condition of the saws They are new. Or should I be skeptical of that as well? Should I request the box? Or just accept the saws he has off the shelf. Also Should I ask to run them at the dealer to make sure they start? Sorry for the newbie questions.

Hello! I only want to tell you about Troll and me when we buy new saws. We ALWAYS get they demonstrated at the deler. How we shall start and everything, and also "put together", ready for use, and a full tank fuel. That's I call service!
