I agree, $400.00 seems high. If he would let you, pull the muffler & check compression. If all seems okay, I'd offer $250.00 to $300.00; especially when I really didn't "need" it.

There is a 3120 locally that I just heard about. He is asking $500.00, but willing to entertain offers.

I absolutely have no need of a saw that gargantuous.

Although... :monkey:

I can use a 3120. My Ms880 needs a step brother. If you don;t want it can you set up a deal for me?

Thanks Scott

$930 new?
Why hell buy it, put it on fleabay & the hordes of morons will bid it up to $980..............:dunno:

RD

that is a decent deal actually.

if it goes through all the motions without a hitch.i have one for sale for $600 but it's completely redone inside.who knows the story on that one.he obviously doesn't.

the 385 is actually a great saw.i like it better than my 395.little lighter and cuts almost as good.

I would have offered him $300 in cash, if he said no I'd tell him my offer still stands if he doesn't sell it. It probably is worth $400 if the piston/ cylinder/ crank etc is perfect and the extent of the wear is some usage and scratches on the case.

Send a PM of where you want to be on compression and price. There is another I know of, but he is looking to get $700.00 on a 6 year old saw that has been used quite a bit.

I'm meeting the guy at 9:30 this morning. Come to find out, he took the saw in on trade for a job he did and has never used the saw......afraid of it actually. I asked the guy if he would be able to start it because I just had a double hernia surgery and can't be pulling that big of a saw over......he said he didn't know if he could start it or not! Could be an interesting trip indeed. Ya don't know if ya don't look!

He also said he has had alot of calls on it, but everybody is concerned about the useage of it. He sounded anxious......I might be able to make a move.

I didn’t think the man owned the saw. “Perfect?” A person that owned a saw like that wouldn’t have a picture taken with it on top of a kerosene heater…

NO DEAL....CASE CLOSED

All the plastic cases on the outside were different shades of orange and it looked like it had some serious hours on it. Frankenstein saw, built from several saws. It did start right up and it ran very well, no skips and plenty of power. He said he'd take not one penny less that $350. and I walked.

He obviously has his own definition of "perfect" and the saw looked worse than in the photos.

At least we got to see miss sexy ass in his photos, not all is lost.
