I know this is most likely the wrong place to put this, but I am in need of a Deere dealer to ask some questions to regarding a riding mower, and since both the dealers around here sell Stihl, I thought I may get the help I need. If you are a dealer and would like to PM me, feel free.
I have a LX176 with a bad engine and need to replace it, but new ones (Kawasaki's) are too expensive, but I found a used 17hp Kaw on craigslist. Will it work as a direct replacement or not. Is there any other engines that will work in place of the Kaw's?
Again sorry for placing this here, but went to a couple of lawn care sites and they just didn't feel as friendly to helpful to the non-professional. This place always has, so I took a chance.
As always, any help is appreciated.
