I'm inexperienced with saw repair and upkeep. Is it time to replace this?

Thank you,

Well; I'm guessing so but I'm asking sincerely.

I think it should be smooth and the chain dogs have worn into it... but I honestly don't know.

I've never seen a Homelite before and maybe it's supposed to be there?

Not a troll, not a joke... and I'm guessing by the response it's a "Yes".

Yep she needs changed...don't feel bad I seen a worse one today. He thought his clutch was smoked but in reality he had worn completely through the sprocket and it was split so chain was riding in btw the two halves.

Needs changed.Last month an idiot brot me his stihl 025 asked if I could fix it cause the chain wouldn't turn.I opened it up and prayed the chain of the sprocket with a screwdriver.I told him to get a new chain bar sprocket and a real saw.He hasn't asked me to fix it since
