Do the 026 and 026 Pro use the same carb?

Saw an ebay auction that said no, they use different carbs but most advertised units don't specify.

I have an 026 Regular (not Pro) that finally, once and for all, is getting the attention it needs, which per diagnosis begins with a carb swap (only running with choke open, starting there).

Question: Do the 026 and 026 Pro use different carbs, or is the carb the same between them?
Sorry to interrupt all this carb fitment talk. I'd seriously consider checking for an air leak in that saw with a vacuum/pressure check. Being able to run with the choke on is an indication of a massive vacuum leak and rarely a carb issue.

Good call AKDoug, none of us pick up on that subtle little bit of info from the OP.

Now that you mention it, I am pretty sure that one or the other crank seal on this model is "chronic" for leaking. Good call...

Flywheel side seal is a common failure on these saws.
quoted for truth. And they are a pain to remove unless you have the Stihl seal puller. Although a few guys here have come up with a home made seal puller. I worked on a few of these recently that had some serious gouges in the seal pocket. The saw dude that monkeyed with these was a reckless ****.
