Does anyone know the hydraulic pump pressure of a sc50tx?

The book states, "System reliefs are 3000 psi for cylinders functions; 2900 psi for propel" It also states that there is more than one pump? Does anyone know the individual pump pressures?

I am pretty sure that the pressure is the same on both pumps, the difference is in volume. I have a service manual and will look it up tomorrow.

I talked to the guy at vermeer and he said that there is only one housing with two pumps in it? And plyscamp, were you the one that told me about the track slides? If so, thank you much, that was it, with 04' 50tx there is only 2 though, but they still get you for 115 a piece. I have brand new tracks coming this weak, and now I have a blown piston, this machine has been a nightmare, but there is no subsitute, my 352 just don't hack it most the time!

The pressure on both pumps is the same. The small pump is rated at a maximum of 5cc per revolution or 3.76 Gallons per minute. the large pump is rated at a maximum of 11cc per revolution or 6.87 Gallons per minute.

The local Vermeer dealer could not figure out what was wrong with my SC505 when it belonged to one of my accounts. They finally gave up and sold the account a new SC60TX and took the SC505 in trade. Six weeks later I gave Vermeer scrap price for the unit with the agreement that it would never return to thier shop. It took us a few days to figure out the track slides were worn out. The slides were worn so bad that the heads of the bolts that retain the track slides would hang up on the tracks and lock up the drive system. Every once in a while Barn Yard Engineering works in your favor.

That is funny you say barnyard engineer! Vermeer couldn't figure out the slides out or my up/down cylinder bleeding off, yet I asked my dad's neighbor to take a look and he figured out the bleed off in like 2 minutes! And of course, you solved my track slide issue. Vermeer had it for a month and didn't know what to do, they told me it was probably the hydraulic valve box which is $5,600 . The thing that sucks, my competetion will come in with the same issue, the guys down there will act all smart and fix their machine that damn day!!!!!!!!!!!:angry::taped:

My dad's neighbor is a farmer, that is the relation with the barnyard engineering, I just forgot to write about it!

Machines are made in Pella Iowa, Thus Barnyard Engineering. I might add that Vermeer had the unit 4 times over a period of one year, replaced pumps, motors and all kinds of stuff but never looked at the track slides. The SC60TX has bogey wheels instead of slides.

Just a note in regards to your piston problem. Perkins builds all of Caterpillars small diesel engines. If you can not find a Perkins dealer, Caterpillar will have anything you need.
