Does The Stihl 096 Exist?

I wrote an article about the Stihl 096 here, in which I concluded it doesn't actually exist. I found a few mentions of it on Arborist Site and that was about it.

But I had a couple of guys get in touch to say Stihl had confirmed it did exist (their emails are in the article) and one shared this pic which looks like it says 096 but I think it's an 056 AVEQ Super.

I just put together what I could find about the jetsaw in this post but will have to add that info in too now. I read that it had gone to a museum, but I was thinking an official Stihl museum/collection rather than this one.
