I don't understand this 'forum' stuff. I always hit 'view new posts', and read it all. I told Gypo about this, and he wasn't even aware of the option. He just looked in the forums. Now, he hits view new posts, too.

I wonder how many others aren't aware of this option?

I found the "new posts" button within a few days of joining AS. Even though I'm not running a tree service now I still have five running saw, Power Pruner, blower reversing drill. Never know when I might need them.

There are many threads I never look at. A person would have to have more time than I do to keep up with all of the threads.

Instead of having a duplicate thread I went to delete the thread. A message pops up that says I can't delete my own thread. Any reason?

Probably because someone posted before you deleted it. After that, I guess it would take a mod's power to do it.
