in a lot of threads these days, there seem to be strong comparisons with dolmars, stihls and huskys. all good saws! but like many other things we
use, personal preference and brand loyalty, play a bigger part in the decision
making process when making a purchase. kinda like ford/chevy/dodge. and
for most, dealer support really don't mean squat. i only trust myself working
on my equipment. parts availability sure.. in the end you have to go with
what makes you happy. every brand builds something good.

Well said Burnt!

i like all three.

i just can't see myself getting a dolmar anytime soon.
all the so called "dealers " around me have: no saws in stock,no parts in stock, and parts are kinda pricey.let me know when they get it together.

till then i'll use husky for the logs, and stihl for the limbs.

Leave it to some newbie to ruin a perfectly good Stihl/dolmar/husky debate with a very small amount of common sense....Hell...I guess we should just shut the freakin' web-site down now.
