Yep. I hear yah there, Tom. I lost all I had in the ranch and then some. But that was only 4 years of my life down the tubes, and not 36. In comparison I got off pretty cheap. My brother was in the same boat as you 9 years ago though. He lost the house, his ex got half his 401-k, the car and half his bank accounts. He moved into an apartment. He could not buy a house, becasue his name was STILL on the loan papers of HER house. Divorce does not sever debt. So he was stuck until she refinanced and got re-married. He went out and bought a house soon after she re-married, and is happy without her now. He is lucky to have gotten out of all the BS child support and alimony. My other brother still pays child support, and he still has legal bills from all the child cutsody battles and lawyers fees of splitting up.

Dunno why. Seems like they have these glasses on when you first meet and they see something else. Than after a few years, the hormones wear off and they see you for what you are. Or they get bored, or give up after you do not change. My ex pleaded with me to move in with her. I had reservations... well, I was right in the end. She flipped to demanding that I move out.

If I'd killed my wife 20 years ago, today I'd been a free man:greenchainsaw:

I used to have a T shirt that said that, had a woman on a bike ride tell me that I was not politically correct when she saw the shirt. I explained that this shirt was just the tip of the iceberg where political incorrectness and I was concerned. She seemed offended. I haven't seen that shirt for about 10 years which coincides perfectly with the time Susan and I got together. I know she wouldn't throw it away, but she sure did a fine job of putting it away for me. JR
