Anyone know how much draw weight the big shot is? Say at almost max?

Hello miko0618,

Not sure why you'd want to know that as there's too many variables if you're looking for a formula or approx. height a bag is going to be thrown. Size/weight of bag, type of throw line and friction the bag endures as it's propelled upward along with the angle play a factor as the height it will obtain.

I'm very good at using a throw bag just by tossing without a BS, but looking at heights from 55' and less. If you want me to put an ascending line or pull line(after the throw-line) to heights like that, give me anywhere from 5 minutes to 13 minutes and I can put it wherever you want. 10 days ago I put my throw line in a crotch 2 1/2" wide at 45' on my 3rd try.

I'm saying this to not brag, as if people really care, but to show you heights in this category are obtainable without a big shot.

Take care.

I am good with a throwbag. I made a bigshot and was curious how much power their bands have.

Yep. Thanks! I was going to buy one but i forgot it in my order the other day. It took about an hour and probably cost $60 with the ratchet winch and archery release. Which is pretty delightful i must say. I shot a baseball with it and it went pretty far. I suppose i could just buy a heavier band if needed.

That's cool. Looks to be good workmanship. Regardless of the draw weight it has, after some practice you'll be tossing bags through crotches accurately in no time.

In my younger days throw bags were unheard of 'round here, but a tall ladder and a chain or cable help pull many trees over for folks. Same for rope ascenders, unheard of.
