Consider modifying you oiler, that is what makes a difference. Its a bout pressure, not about flow.

im putting a 461 oiler on my 400c soon but was just curious if anyone does it or not.

You want a longer bar or milling? It is probably perfect as it is - just saying...
no i just do tree work but with a 25 inch bar it doesnt seem like it is oiling enough so i got a 20inch light for it for now until i find time to throw a bigger oiler on there or mod the current oiler.

Oiling enough is surprisingly little. The 400 will give enough oil for a 24/25, even though you cant feel or see it.
Lift the chain from the bar and wiggle, you will see an oil coat in the light.

I open all my bar holes somewhat, saves ur chain and bar with a simple mod , There not as big of holes as they use to be back in the day for sure
It wont help if the pressure is not there to support it. Pressure is a lot more than the area of the hole.
The oil pump provides pressure at a steady rate- not flow, flow only comes to play at high volume - not like the steady low volume of an oil pump.

Oiler holes can get clogged up tight. I clean them out every time I sharpen the chain or change the chain. That works. Make them bigger and that makes it easier for more grime to get into them and clog.
Regular bar maintenance is always good idea , a clean bar slot is a well oiled bar slot
