dual port mufflers

i just got my three new walkerized mufflers today, the duals remind me of a camaro i used to own...they have no spark arrestors, i think if i screened them, i would cut the flow down, what's this danger of suckin in wood chips?? and i'm never gonna be deep around the woods enough to worry about smokey the bear..should i just run them open, no screens?

and will i have to adjust the carb?

I had to adjust the carb on my 038 when I cut the muffler and added the 2 pipes.

How can you tell if your carb needs to be adjusted after you install a modified muffler.
