Longer convergent & divergent raduis's normally attribute to better overal mid range & top end torgue values . This permits a more trackable power band , much less peaky delivery !I remember reading an article years ago about dirt bike mufflers and the length of the pipe has an impact on response. A shorter pipe would provide a snappier response while a longer pipe helped with top end. I could be talking out of of my you know what but would be interested your guys thoughts?
Not suffers per say but your on the right track looking at how case volume increases and decreases by design alone. The quad runner saws really improve with crankcase stuffers to reduce the overall crankcase volume .
I would think a steadier power band would make for a more dependable saw. Less giggles while running but a better work saw?Longer convergent & divergent raduis's normally attribute to better overal mid range & top end torgue values . This permits a more trackable power band , much less peaky delivery !
That one looks good hopefully you get a change in to torque and cooling TempView attachment 1047643
Will do some testing on this saw with my big single port. Then add front dual port.
See if single port shows gains or loss over dual port.
It looks like a 660 or is it an '066Bark box meets spark box.
I dont normaly do dual ports but fugured what the hell.View attachment 1048350
