Oh, don't feel too bad. I just got my new hearing aids and was trying to take care of them, since they cost 3700 dollars. I still couldn't hear my cell directions. So, I took my left one out so I could put the ear bud in. There was so much junk in my truck I couldn't find a good place to put my hearing aid. Later that evening I realized it was gone and couldn't remember what I did with it. Went nuts looking for it. I'd been milling most of the day so I started sifting through all the sawdust. I even got the shop vac and sucked it all up. Even with insurance it cost me 900 cash to replace. A few days later I stopped at 7-11 for a cup of coffee and couldn't find my red refill cup. Then I remembered I had dropped it in the empty cup and put the lid on. While I was sifting sawdust, my wife in son tore my truck apart looking for it, and threw away all the trash. Including my red refill cup.

You win :)

I had posted this on the Stihl thread but deserves to be here..me and my mechanic were picking up rounds in the S-10 and he put the two saws that we brought along under the truck bed so-as to not harm then, and not stumble around em. A hefty amount of Willow rounds in my already well abused mini-truck and getting ready to leave.. Yup, you see where this is headed.. BUT!!, WAIT THERE'S MORE!!!. that little Stihl 170 limber saved my PM55 from an unfortunate crushing by holding a bunch of weight on its handle.. That is one tough little saw. Jack the ass-end up and pulled both to safety.. Moral...never take a mechanic to a wood pile

At least the screw up didn't cost too much.

I use ones with a radio built in. Have several pairs like you have, but gets boring. Granted $25 vs $70 though.

Lost my work phone while taking a dump in the woods. I went back to find it but no luck. Then It dawned on me, I used my personal cell phone to call the work phone. Found it!

A few years back I was at home after my stroke and really getting bored with nothing to do but rehab once a day. Wife was at work and so I thought I would be nice and load and run the dishwasher. Turned it on and went in the living room. Awhile later I stumble to the kitchen and it was knee high in suds. Guess you don’t use dishwashing liquid in a dishwasher.

Dahmer, been there done that. One of those things you will only do once. My experience was in a small apartment - foam over the counter top and slowly moving into the living room. Ron
Fortunately I was able to use the stroke as an excuse, stupidity was never brought up. :innocent:

It does the same thing in the washing machine. Foam everywhere. My plan worked perfectly. Haven't had to do any laundry since. :)

We've done that at fire dept 'pimping' another station. Putting it in bottom of their dishwasher when off station.

We had a mouse problem years ago and got a kitten to fix the problem. The kitten got sick. Took it to the vet who would pump it full of fluids, charge us $25, and say come back in 2 days. $150 bucks later I was painting a old VW out in the driveway (had to be a nice paint job), The car didn't have a motor in it, we were pushing it back in to the garage and run over the kitten. It's hard to run over a cat in a car without a motor. I guess the cat didn't here it coming.

Now that's funny.. Like getting run over by a train. 3 steps in either direction takes ya out of harm's way. But yet???
