Easter Vacation

Just wondering what everyone else is doing this weekend.

We're headed down to Texas for a family reunion.

Good Friday, big tradition in Bermuda:
Build home made kites, go to the beach, fly them, look at everyone else's, discuss the finer points of loops and tails (its a science!), eat fishcakes and hot cross buns and give thanks to God.

This is our kite, 7'tall, took 40hrs to build, 300 individual panes. Needs about 12-15 knots to fly.

Daughter has two friends who just arrived from Paris, so the kids all have lots to do. I'll probably clean up some late Spring snowstorm damage (Pinus strobus mainly). On Saturday my wife and I are going to see Body Worlds at the Franklin Institute:

Drove in from the country where I was working for two days this week, so will spend a quiet weekend in TO housesitting as my parents are in China for four weeks. I plan on starting some seedlings indoors for my relatives veggie garden-mainly tomatos and a few annuals for my pots at the trailer. Back to Brighton Easter Monday as I have a job interview (not trees) in Trenton Tuesday morning then back to work that afternoon.

Today I finished up a planting job I started Wednesday. Tomorrow I'll do a mulch job, and Sunday I will wind up spraying.
