I am starting to look for a new chainsaw and decided to stop at the Husky dealer. He didnt have much for huskys, but had an ECHO 620P for $579. I was a bit surprised at the price cause I was looking more for a Stihl 362 , but they are $829 . That is an extra $260 after the extra tax. I am intreged to say the least. I do think the Stihl bars are better . I have had Stihl for 35 yrs and I dont think I ever wore out a bar. Does anyone else think the ECHO is the better deal? Is the Stihl 362 worth that much more? Is it that much more advanced, chain speed on the Stihl faster, caeb that much more advanced that it should go for $260 more ?

I have n echo 620p and a Stihl ms400 (it's basically an ms362 on steroids), the Stihl is definitely faster and lighter, but the echo is no slouch, lots of low end torque! also the echo feels more solidly built.
I really really like the Stihl, but you can't go wrong with the 620p
My opinion is that the echo is an excellent value for a very well made machine, and for the amount most people use a saw, the extra money for Stihl or husky is not necessary.
