Looks like a all orange 028. Seems they put a real bar and chain on it though, not like most echos.

Whats wrong with Echo chains, all you to do is go over the the bench grinder and grind off all that safety crapola. Does look kinda like a 028, wonder whats under the hood. Steve

Yeah, that is a easy way, LOL.

Looks to be a 60cc saw, but no hp/power numbers as usual. May end up being a good saw but I don't see it taking away any of the current 60cc saw's sales numbers. Like the 390/361, 359/357, 6400, I also don't know how long those non-strato saws will last in the current line up. I'm all for strato though, love the ones I have.

In my area its pretty hard to find Echo equipment, except for a couple of items that Echo does really well or nobody else really does at all. I don't expect to see the 60cc saw, although I've been considering buying something in that size again. Echo dealers just don't seem interested in stocking much echo product.

IMO, Echo is suffering in North America, at least their marketing isn't doing too well. The last brochure lists models dealers cant get, and has no mention of models they can. I'm in the market for a brush saw, and used to respect Echo trimmers...but am not looking for a 23cc saw with a flex shaft that will obviously struggle to power an 8" blade. The website lists a 40cc model, about right, but dealer couldn't get availability info.

Pretty hard to keep dealers stocking product like that.

I just picked one up today,Loving it so far
But then its replacing a Jred CS2137 (42cc) It felt great to use something with some balls! They were on sale for $599 (CDN) included case,extra chain,gas can, oil and a hat.I wanted a Jred 2165 but the $799 price and a 2yr warranty versus 5 kinda turned me off :bang:

Echo is offering the 600p at the same price point as the 670/680 or $559. If you care to buy online, they will ship the saw to your door via UPS. What seems kinda odd is the only saw that Echo wont sell online is the more popular model 520/530?
