I give up. I am now going out to the shop and pitching all my Asian made Echo junk in my dumpster and will now only use my European made Stihl saws, What should I do with all my North American made Macs and Homelites????

Send them to someone that knows how to use them right. :hmm3grin2orange:

Look, the scarecrow does have a brain...JK

Hang on to those Macs and Homey's, the older they are the better. Good saws in the day. Before Home Depot got ahold of them.

Like I said, Blackelm, I dont give a ratsass what country they are made in, they are no where near high quality, in fact they are low grade. Pretty well shows who you are resorting to "Daddy comments" You are not worth the powder it would take to blow you away. Im done arguing with idiots like you and red. 2 birds of a feather.

Damn boy, settle down. Disagreeing about this subject is no reason to blow me away. Have you thought about counseling?? Please put me on your ignore list if I cause you this much rage. Hell I just had a disagreement with you about the quality of a company and its location, not screw your old lady, or probably worse to you ,,,,, kick one of your Stihls

Not only do I have a brain. I now have strange urges to blow away anybody I see with Chinese Asian made Echo product. I will use a %$%&*^# Axe before I disgrace myself with Chinese Asian made Echo junk. :hmm3grin2orange: Mission accomplished, I now am a full fledged saw racist

European saw owners are like European car owners...same mentality

"Its from Europe, it costs more, has alot of gadgets, and the marketing is awesome...the ads say it is #1 so it must be...all other XXXXXX are lesser quality and are compared to my saw/car"

I know alot of people who own Beemers, Mercedes, etc...They act like thier cars are the top of the line...

The only line they exist in is the line to the repair shop...always broken down. And its

Same deal with European saws owners..You act like your stuff is top notch, never fails, flawless, etc...yet when it breaks it was a fluke, or you just dont mention it. When someone questions the integrity of a model of saw...They are crazy.

Whereas Japanese automobiles are rarely the fastest, rarely the best looking..they have the best reliabilty ratings after the sale...and tend to go much longer between repairs. Its not about nut swinging with big power numbers, its about..try the saw, you will like it.

And Japanese cars/saws are cheaper than European cars/saws.

We have an old decal in the shop, "Echo" (the one that lasts)

Also, Ive dug up an old Echo...its says "Kioritsu" on the recoil cover, then below it "ECHO".

WOW, this turned into a real useful thread. One guy is calling all asian people the same (I don't suggest telling a Japanese guy that he's the same as a chinese person, they consider that quite an insult) and that everything they build is junk and not worthing buying. The fact is Echo doesn't build any saws in China, the small saws (CS-306, CS330T -360T etc.) are assembled in Lake Zurich Illinois and the larger saws (CS-440, CS-520, CS-670) are assembled in Japan. If where the products are produced means anything about their quality I don't think so. Everybody says the US made Stihls are just as good as the German ones.

You know, "How its made" did a bit on chainsaws a few months ago...It was an Echo saw they followed through production...very interesting stuff.

To the average user...COST

The semi-experienced user...Displacement

To those of us in the know...Resistance to abuse.

Nooooo, but thank you for playing the game.

Answer... Clam shell Vs. Crankcase and cylinder

Bullcrap. Most users dont know about their saws inner workings beyond the recoil...To say that more than 10% of saw users know about the clamshell vs case any cylinder is assinine.

btw, my Tanaka ECS-415 is crankcase/cylinder...is it a pro saw?

Also, my Poulan XXV, as I recall, is also case/cylinder...pro saw?

users know about COST, SIZE and DURABILITY.
