Many of you may remember me posting about the loss of a Poulan Pro 330 last summer. The customer where I worked the day I lost it called. He lives up on a ridge and the ground along one side and the rear of the property is pretty steep. He was out doing something along the side and found my 330 sitting under a bush down the hill. It has been out there hiding all along. There is a little rust on the bar and the muffler but I poured in fresh fuel and it fired right up.

About 25 yrs ago, a customer called to say that a wallet had fallen out of a tree we'd pruned....the very same one that I'd lost two months earlier...had looked all around, assumed it got dumped or chipped, never thought to check aloft!! It was nice to recover the $60 or so in it too!

We have a serious problem along the levee road with people from town dumping their trash on construction waste. It is not uncommon to find stoves, carpet, drywall, yard waste, and anything else you can dream up. There is a guy that likes to walk the levee cleaning up the mess and looking for identification items such as mail The intent is to ID the dumpers. About ten years ago there was a crew logging Cottonwood out of the river bottom. The guy was walking the levee cleaning up trash when he found two Stihl saws under a brush pile. It was assume a crooked worker was trying to steal them from the logging company. The guy that found them turned them in and they actually had been stolne from another framer down the road. He got them back. The guy walking the levve could have kept them but of course he was a honest guy and did the right thing.
