Naw, Tony, its not a race saw! I tied Eds hands there to keep him from running away with the project. Compression is no higer than stock so it cranks quite nicely without a Skidoo D Handle. The choke on the 260 is built into the filter instead of in the carb and the whole filter assembly is a bit of a bottleneck so I have been removing it for timed cuts. It goes back on for firewooding.
The trouble is with this whole business, you keep resetting your expectations and need more to get the same old thrill. It is not till you see someone cutting with a stock saw and round filed chain that you seem to regain your appreciation!

Hi Frank, I've been tweeking the HJA160D and put it on the 066KD. It's getting faster the more I grind it! The Basswood, although oval averages 14.5" dia.
Which way to the Beech?

Gypo, grindings all right I guess if its all you got, but send it up and I'll file it for you! lol. Yes they get faster till just before they quit! that really pithes you off. I think it is a good system but sure is a lot of work. Not too hard to understand how they can get pricey unless you are making them only for the fun of it.
