Hi,

I'd like to start learning & trying tree climbing. Is this harness good enough? I dont see any specs for maximum weight but I imagine it should be good enough since it's coming up for sale on a few respectable web sites. I found a good deal on an like new one.
Please dont recommend me $600 harnesses, I dont have that kind of money at this point to invest. I understand that my life depends on it though, so I'd happily trade off some comforts/features for a good money save, as long as safe enough.

Thanks,

I wouldn't use that for tree climbing. Doesn't look like there is a center attachment for primary climbing line. You could easily make a bridge between the 2 lower D's, I suppose and that would work. But in the $300 range:
Buckingham floating Dee: https://www.treestuff.com/buckingham-cotton-back-floating-dee-saddle/
or a similar Weaver that looks a little less uncomfortable: https://arbsession.com/weaver-wlc-560-saddle.html
or for a little more a Petzl Sit - no floating D, but more comfortable padding: https://arbsession.com/ptz-c079ba00-1.html

To get significantly better, you are probably into the $450 range...
