estimating

I agree with Mike. I do my best to look good when I do an estimate, but if they want to meet me right after I get off work, I just apologize for being so dirty. I've found that in a lot of cases the first person to return the call or show up for the estimate may be the guy that gets the job. However, I've never left a job to do an estimate. I just ask them when a good time to meet them would be, and go from there.
