I cant believe you have a Brazillian saw,,,,,,, and we went through all that about tuning it for a dual port and it was tuned and dual ported when you got it!!!!!!!!!!!

Bra hahahahahah aha ahahahahahaha!!!!

Wanna sell it???? I got some good 440's/044/460's for tradin purposes,,,,,

are the saws from Brazil inferior? Guessing that they don't have an EPA Type agency in Brazil. Good thing I saved my receipt for the other dual port cover. The port on the cover I bought does have the screen and a larger sized port. Not worth switching then. Appreciate all of the help. Remember I am new to all of this, I wouldn't have run you guys through another dual port saga had I known. Thx

Nope.. apart from the muffler and a few other tiny details, they are idential, and comparable in quaility, to German or USA manufacture.

Hey no problem,,,,,

I'm laughing my buns off cause I was worried about you toasting your saw and it was already set up from the get go:laugh:   .... You might see a little gain with the usa cover,,, but looking at the hole thats in the muffler can it is larger than our EPA regulated mufflers and your carb is probably not limiter cap style anyway,,,,, its real easy to tell on the filter cover clutch side pop pout the black dust cover and look inside at the adjustment screws if trhey are black with springs on the shanks you are good to go ya just need a tach and swap the covers four torx 27 fasteners and a little tuning if it picks up cool beans,,,,, :ices_rofl: :ices_rofl: :ices_rofl:

Attaching a pic of the muffler that came stock on my 660 and the 660 dual port cover. Given that the factory muffler appears to have dual ports how much of an increase (if any) can I expect to gain by putting on the other dual port cover assuming the carb is adjusted correctly. My saw has had 10 tanks through it thus far and seems to be running better and better. I don't want to mess up a good thing, however if more power can be gained with the other cover.....well. Thx

it won't gain you anything. send it to me.... :hmm3grin2orange:

Lake, would this also be off a non-USA saw?

Huh.jpg
That's all in german. Evan

Do you really know what it is or do you think I'm lying? I'm pretty sure it's german but I could be wrong. Evan

Don't worry. It is german.

Attention. Read the instruction manual before first use. Pay attention to the warnings. Use ear protection. Use anti-kickback chain.

I got this thread kind of off topic :buttkick:
So why stop now............warning sticker on MS361 tells
what low kick back chains to use, Picco chain is one of the chains.
You can't even get a picco rim or spur sprocket for it, correct?

I looked at friends brand new 660 this winter and it came with the factory DP cover. But the cover was more rounded and sleek designed, then the one on my 066. Has there been a update to the DP covers out on the 660?
