I agree. I took a eBay gamble i bought a carb they said was oem. I know that is coming home to bite them. That's why I asked driver about the carb. No one had one work. He has had two.

Dave is out of the one you thought was good, it's half a OEM. So I took that gamble in the meantime.

I got the other OEM parts on the choke then decided to replace the switch cause I wrenched it putting the screw threads in, in place. Should have both with few days.

Are you thinking the test is off because you couldnt hold the throttle open or what do you mean?

The parts will fix it I imagine
I am bored. I got 110psi before my linkage fell out the back of the saw. I would doubt it was a good test.

I did not like the rings, guess I should disassemble the saw and put some decent rings on it while I am waiting on everything to gell.

Could you be more specific about what parts are being ordered and swapped into the carb?

My FT carb did not work. I thought it was flooding so I tried adjusting the lever height. Runs okay for 2-3 minutes, then the idle drops too low and it dies. Hard to restart and dies right away. Back to OEM for now.

I am not spending any time or effort on kit carb. I looked first at oem 85-90$, then AM tried and true half cost, but out of stock. So I got one they say is OEM (it's not).

It will be not as described, but will we will get a close up while I wait for refund . Then it will be Dave or OEM.

Stick with the oem. I have OEM on all mine. Prevents problems. To me it's the engine oiler that delivers fuel too! Important job.

What fix do you employ to protect the cylinder/piston from the plastic bits from breaking off and entering the cylinder and causing failures.

I read the fix was to not change/clean the filter. Layer on using aftermarket parts I think any light you might shine on this would be very helpful.

I ground down the black plate to account for short studs then I read about this issue and I replaced the studs and I want to take the best steps to make my little project last

Can you offer us anything there? (Understanding the AM parts are most likely not part of any answer) Thanks

Got a side handle coming. Dealer wanted 65, I got new one for 35. So I will side by side them when it arrives and see where it's out of whack. A photo helps. Likely the end

The whole thing is out of whack but it shows up on the end clearly.

Reformed this one with oven heat a small amount.

Stihl too far out and stresses the AV mount.

Replaced it with a used OE from evilbay.
