A lot depends on the size and make of chain you are wanting to file and the pressure and technique of your filing.
Lots of good names and brands have been mentioned already- but I am getting a good run out of some Carlton branded files of late- they were fairly cheap in the scope of file prices to boot.

I have about a dozen of Bahco round files and 3-4 flat ones that
they have "Oberg Bahco " stamped on them . And the logo is not the Bahco one ( a fish with hook underneath ) but something that looks like a half moon with a face ...
Great files.Very aggressive and durable.

Pferd makes coarser and finer lines of round files. One is better for material removal, and the other for a finer finish.
