That is the point with the oil, isn't it - it isn't needed dripping down the side of the bar, and and all over the place where you use the saw........

What I sort of wonder about, is why they made the oil tank a lot larger than needed......

Congrats on getting to run the new saw. I'm glad it put a grin on your face.

As the others have said, the 361 is stingy with oil. That's been discussed here before as well. I've run about 25 tanks through my almost new one and even though Ive got the oil adjuster turned all the way up, I still have almost 1/2 tank of oil when I stop to refuel. I've had no problems with the chain, it's getting plenty of lube.

What length bar do you have on yours?

I have an 18" bar on it. glad to hear that others have experienced the same and a simple adjustment will suffice
