I finally got a job working for a tree service. So far I love it and the best part is that my new boss really wants to teach me to climb. He has 26 years in the business and seems to really know what he is doing. If ya'll have any sugestions on books I can read or things I can do to help my learning curve it would be appreciated. He has already been putting alot of responsibility on my shoulders such as having me fell a fairly large tree while he was gone, and putting me in a foreman position when he's not around.

Good for you.

Be thankful. No one is hiring here.Guess I'm getting out of the tree business for a while.

If you don't have it already, get The Tree Climber's Companion by Jeff Jepson. Good luck.
