b1rdman must have been snooping around in my first aid pac. best bandages available. learned it from my veterineran.

good day 1953greg

Wow! Some of you guys pack some serious luggage! Great ideas, though. For the record, I HAVE been stung by bees while whacking up the wrong tree! I hadn't been stung in something like 25 years and I was worried I might be allergic. Ever see a Toyota pickup get big air?

I have a milk crate with the usual suspects ...plugs,files,wedges,tool, small PPE.

The most interesting item in my crate is a large zip-log bag full of maxi pads and a roll of hockey tape...

1953greg hit it on the head...bandages. And hockey tape is just that, the cloth tape that's used for hockey sticks/equipment. It's works well in cold weather and it's strong enough to use for a tourniquet or sling.

I've been cutting since I as 15 and I've never had to use this stuff, but it's something that I picked up from my dad.

damn, you guys are really prepared... my kit contains extra chains, scrench, plugs, bar, oil and gas...

if i forget anything and it shuts me down, no biggie... home is only 5 mins from the woodlot

Like I said in a different thread, I'm one of "those guys" that uses the standard Stihl case. I have always hated working on saws in the field, so mine are cleaned, adjusted, and ready-to-go after each trip. Each case is set-up as a stand-alone - except for fuel mix and bar oil - so I can take either/or or both. Each case has spare (dry) leather gloves, scrench, felling wedge, spare mix-oil, spare chain(s), rag/paper towel, parts-cleaning brush (habit I picked up to brush debris away from oil/fuel caps before opening), small wire brush (cleaning bar groove or other tight spot), and spark plug I had sweet wifey vacuum-pack to keep clean and dry.
