Cut for a couple hours today and this is what I have to show for it. Was in the woods pulling out Hardmaple tops and buzzing them up. I used my Bobcat with my homemade grapple bucket to blaze trail, do the picking, and pull the load home. I was on the neighbor's land so I was cutting on shares. He got a wagon and I got a wagon. It would be a lot easier without this snow, but this is when I have time. The saw is a 272 Husky.

cool pic. curious why is the wood cut to firewood size lengths in the woods in the snow? couldnt you pick up large logs the entire length of that trailer and stack em' high with your grapple?

There weren't very many large logs, mostly small tops. I just cleared a landing in the middle of the woods, carried them all in and cut them there.

That shed is a small cabin I built out of pine I sawed on my Timberking mill. It is a 2 year old 8x12 on skids, front porch, loft, board and batten siding, and a steel roof. The other building I built this summer. It is a 20x45 free span without gable ends. I prefabed the trusses out of 2x2x1/8 steel tubing. Used my mill lumber for the perlins and gerts, bolted them to the steel, and finnished the outside with steel. The middle has a 5' wide steel shelf tied into the structure that goes all the way across to hold my Bobcat attachments. It fits the attachments, my three vehicles, Bobcat, and firewood. It's also my skinning shed for deer.
