Man I'm in Garrett county - I'll ask around but don't think anyone will run that far. Ever look into cutting on state ground? Some forest offices here sell permits to cut a cord in a 2 week window for 10 dollars.

Look on Craigslist or if you are on facebook, join your local community pages and ask there. That should weed out the lousy dealers.

Potomac Garden Center in Urbana sells it by the cord.

PGC sells both regular firewood and "kiln dried" firewood. No idea of the quality (MC/species mix), but the prices seem to be higher than what can be found via Craigslist. I think the "seasoned" was over $350/cord and the kiln dried was pushing somewhere near 500 bones.

I am not sure of what their prices are this season but the kiln dried is the real deal. With Craigs list you are rolling the dice.
