What does something like that cost?
$6900
That's far less than some sell them for. I had done my research before I went there.
The owner of the tractor place where I got it told me he prices them lower to sell more, instead of trying to make a lot of money on one sell.

Nice trailer you ended up with. I went a bit bigger for the same reasons, want to carry my tractor with a grapple and winch. Mine is 16' and approximately the same width. The only thing I disagree with you on is the combo tailgate. The trailer I was borrowing didn't have one. Dumping logs means the tailgate had to be removed, can't let it hang as there isn't enough room. This new trailer has a very robust build with 7 gauge steel and the tubing on the tailgate is 2x2 or bigger. I see your concerns, but even the trailer I was borrowing the tailgate was bowed from dumping, it couldn't take the weight of the load as it was being spread. Having the ability to carry your tractor or other equipment is very helpful. Make sure you measure the length of the tractor with implements, mine is a tight fit unless i knuckle the grapple under the loader arms to give me more room. Now I have to figure out how to get the bucket/scrape blade combo to fit. Enjoy it. I didn't check, did yours come with a small charger? Great option to add on.

My 6X10 tandem Pequea was $5800, it's 10,000 pound. It's more trailer than I need, and all I have is an F150. I bought a5X8 single axle 15 years ago, same brand, Pequea. There is no rust through on it at all, some surface rust, and I'm in MD where they spread salt if they are calling for six snow flakes. The little one was the best money I ever spent. Now the new one is just so much nicer. The little one would carry my 20HP 4X4 loader with no problem, but when I pulled on, I couldn't get off the tractor unless I stepped over the side onto the fender. The extra foot wide makes all the difference. I can get off and walk down the deck. I find being a little wider trumps being a little longer. I use mine for mowing season so I got a 5' drive on ramp. It came with an 18" heavy 3 way tailgate. I couldn't find a place to put the little gate during mowing season, so I mounted it to the front of the trailer. I can fold it down and use it for a work bench, swing it up to put long stuff on, or use it vertical as a head board for firewood. It's a versatile little trailer. Imgur is down so I can't post pics.
