ive got a tree to remove next week,its an alianthus,(tree of heaven).so heres my question anybody have any experience of using this tree for firewood? it seems a bit fragile to me in regards of structure.ive seen a climber stand on a piece about 4 inches thick and it snap out ,anyhow any comments would be helpful

Yeah, it's increadibly heavy ...when wet, but dries out pretty light. From my experiance it burns hotter and longer then poplar, but it's not sugar maple or oak.
If you're selling it I wouldn't put it in the premium pile, but it's not bad for those who are looking to have pretty fires in the fireplace.
