I had gotten so it took me about 10 minutes to go from office clothes to having my JD CS 62 mounted in my Alaskan Mark III and buried in a cut, with PPE on.

So I wanted to cut a little log with my new to me 660 before I go on travel.

Oh - it snowed and it's only about 20° F - so bundle up (add minutes)
Oh - I want to take pictures - track down camera, unload full card (add minutes)
Gather up equipment walk out back, start sawing.
2 inches into the cut the chain is loose (new chain). Retighten ADDS SECONDS!!! gotta love the easy adjuster.
Finish the cut, take pictures.
Wife needs walk etc shoveled.
Come in, put everything up, change clothes.

About half an hour spent and 1 cut

Woe is me.

At least I got the first cut in! The 660 slides so much better thru the wood with the extra hp over the CS 62. and the weather was BEAUTIFUL, a rare day in Northern Virgina with a few inches of snow.

I'm very glad that I didn't settle for a 460

Those 660 s are a real nice piece of kit very good power to weight ratio and you have an Alaskan mill as well i always liked those either them or the Logosol someday ill get round to buying one

You did the right thing by shoveling that walk. We all understand exactly how hard it was to do the right thing though--been a time or two I kept sawing--not a good end result!
By the way, What caused that yellow snow around you saw?
Concrats and keep the pics coming.

If you hadn't got out there and milled, you would have been thinking about the entire time you were on travel. Nice saw!

I shouldn't tell you this, but I milled in a T-shirt today...:)
