I would try to smooth out that chip with some 220 wet/dry and clean the seat out. Then, heat the bearing seat up to 300* and drop in a new bearing. Should be fine as long as the seal pocket is ok.View attachment 1220026
I was wondering if this would be ok since the bearing sits deeper and the chip is on the edge or should I replace it i really dont have much money to throw into this 372xp but everything else is fine
Thanks if If I have any questions later would it be ok to ask you on here instead of making new threads?I would try to smooth out that chip with some 220 wet/dry and clean the seat out. That is what it appears to be, the bearing may be a very loose fit now.Are those marks from sanding or did the bearing race spin in the case? If the race is loose it will spin again.

It chipped off when I was getting it out I heated it up but it still chipped thr edge coming out it was far to tight to have spun in it I would thinkHappened pulling it out
372,s don't have stuffers- probably a chunk of piston, bearing cage, ect or could have been put together from a previous buiid- wonder what the other half looks likeI don't think the bearing has spun, the pocket looks too clean. The marks look like what happens when a crank stuffer starts to fail and scrapes the casing ( not sure if this model has crank stuffers?)
I think we need to see some more pic's
