This one hasn't hit any snow yet! Got a Allis D-17 diesel sitting behind the shop too.

Nice pictures of the safe.

I went through a week without power from an ice storm and that sucks.

I keep at least 20 gal of gas on hand during this time of year for the generator.

Pantrys pretty full most of the time and just picked up another 30 pack today to go with whats already here.

Lost count of all the saws that are ready to go.

There calling for some winter weather here in NW Indiana and I doubt we get that much from the sounds of it, but you never know.

I'm ready for a good snow storm. We're loaded with wood, snow blower's ready, my 361 is due for a good cleaning after cutting the other day and I got a great book to finish-Cherokee Moon by Larry McMurtry. I read Lonsome Dove (same author) recently and this this the sequel.

Put a snow cab and snow blower on an old Wheel Horse 314-8 at the shop today we needed something to clean out the parking lot with.

This storm is headin my way over here on the
east coast. We are suppose to get hit with a
foot or so of the white stuff starting tommorrow
early or tonight.

But i'm not scared, Let it RIP

Accuweather

I'm about as far west as you can go in IL.
They are saying up to an inch of ice and wind...
Our power Co. has a policy regarding pole replacement...wait till they blow over.

Checklist:
Saws ready to go.
361 in truck tool box. (Extra chain, mix oil)
Generator serviced and full of fresh gas.
10 extra gallons of gas.
Big load of firewood inside.
Lotsa candles (small generator)
Full bottle of Crown Royal

Am I forgetting anything?

A heaping pot of ham hocks, beans, with lots of onions on the stove.
After a few days, one can snuggle under the covers and it will be as good as putting another log on the fire. :)

Thanks, I'm really a Ford man, and it's hard to beat what you got.

Got me Lil plow ready too

I feel prepared. Filled the wood room yesterday, it holds just over a full cord and lasts 5-8 weeks depending on the weather.

Grocery stores were packed here today, I am hoping power stays on, I ned power to run my blower and for the water heater, but it doesn;t go out too often here in town.

Wall of wood. The final resting place of the trees I slay throughout the year.

Inside the firebox.

Its getting nasty here. 5 inches snow from earlier in the week, and its freezing rain now. Had to go back into town and get the wife and kids and leave my truck at the babysitters. Saw a couple wrecks on the way, a new chevy conversion van on its side in the median of I-135, and a few others slid off the road. It always amazes me how many FREAKIN IDIOTS still think its smart to run 70-80 on a solid sheet of ice. I'd like to just knock the hell out of them, but i just ya cant fix stupid.

Already ugly here...
