Having done some stuff on an old Husqvarna 40, I suddenly noticed it was cracked in the front and into the oil tank.
I should have seen it sooner, but it was dirty and I didnt really pay attention to it....the fix had been some sort of glue that, obviously, was quite bad.... I got the saw for a few beers and a chat, but the guy never mentioned this crap!
See pictures.
My initial idea is to plastic weld it, with a soldering iron.
But would some sort of Epoxy that hardens be good to put on the weld?
Any ideas and help is much appriciated.
I have not given up on this old Husqvarna 40 yet!
