I live in Illinois and that is on the westcoast. Why does it say $113.09(approximately C $126.98)? Why is there a difference since we are in the same country? Evan

That damn thing is a brush cutting bar. If you look at the bottom of bow saws, they have a hook for catching brush. Yes, they will cut logs too.

I for one have had good luck dealing with Rich AKA sawking .This is where my 2100 Homie came from.I have no idea where in the world he finds all those old gems .There must be barns and sheds full of these old growth cutters in those Oregon hills waiting for an antique affectionado to come along.

Old Gyp is in the Yukon,as I type, perhaps he should swing through B.C. ,Washington and Oregon ,northern Cal. before he heads back eastward.

oooo I understand now, I saw it was on the west coast and I saw CA in address bar and my mind immediately went to California. Thanks. Evan

Just joking actually. But the old SP125's are a bear to run. It is a job to lift mine, much less cut wood with it. Shoot, starting it is work! But I'm sure you are up to the task...where there is a will there is a way.:)

Pshaw, they aren't that bad with a 36 ",a 48" is a bit of a chore though. If mine sit for any length of time,I prime them with a squirt bottle. After that first cold start, they usually light off on the first pull. That said it is about a waste of time using them unless the wood is 30" or larger.

In truth a good running 70 to 80 cc saw will cut about as fast in 16 to 20 inch stuff.Although in the bigger stuff all you have to do is place the saw and pull the trigger, the big Mac does the rest,it takes quite a load to slow one down.

I'm just spoiled by my 044. 'bout half the weight, a 12 year old could start it, and like you say, if you aint loadin' up a 36" bar with the thing, not much point in it, the 044 is just as fast. But it sounds great it looks cool and it makes me a saw pimp daddy when I use it.:laugh:
