I now have a chainsaw case for my MS361 with a 3/4 wrap handle.
I am posting this to help others I've seen posting here about the lack of chainsaw cases for large saws. Hopefully this will help.
The case will not provide as much protection as the double walled plastic cases. It only has a single sheet of plastic on the bottom and sides.
I carry a chainsaw in my propane truck to clear roads after windstorms or just to help an elderly customer with downed trees. That duty used to belong to my 032, which fit the regular Stihl case. I just gave the 032 to my dad, who is moving to Oklahoma, to use during ice storms, ect.
So now I am down to the 361 as my only saw and needed a case to protect it in my trucks tool box.
I bought the case at a local Echo dealer. The orange case was $29.00 and the camo case was $44.00.
I searched AS forums sponsors and did not find any that sold this case. One sold a Husky soft case like this but it is smaller.
Since pictures speak 1000 words, I'll let them do the rest of the talking.
For those concerned, note the pictures of the double dogs and how much space is between them and the front of the case. No worries about them puncturing the case.
I have a soft camo echo case I won in a raffle. It will hold a 7900 with a 20" b&c. It is a little tight but it works OK. They are around 30.00 and have pockets for oil and tools. The also come in orange and black. Evan my 660av Solo will fit inside.
