If you like it,that's all that matters.I've heard good and bad things, but then I've heard good and bad things about every Stihl and Husky on the market

LOL from a 141 vs 346xp to a 575... Dammit but don't we got some fast growin trees down here in the Carolinas! If he waits too long he'll need a pair of 395 heads and a manimal-sized boy on each end.

You'll fit right in here Stan...

My advice would be to try before you buy. Where abouts in NC are ya? I don't have a 575 but I'll let ya demo an old 41 vs a new 361 if ya get over towards Moore County.

I think you need to look at more saws before you make up your mind :D

We tell everyone:

"buy what feels good in your hands"
"buy from a dealer you line, trust and can provide service/spare parts"
"buy what fits your budget"

Let the guy buy what he likes, from a decent dealer that is going to cut him a good price. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - not everyone wants a 5100S, 361 or a 441.

That said the 385XP might be another saw to look at prior to purchasing the 575. The 385 mods well, has a growing following, is only $75 more than the 575, and is much more saw.

Good luck. Josh
