I have a XL-12 that is freaky fast for an old saw. I squished it, ported it, gave it a big carb, and welded the muffler vents shut and gave it 2 large ports. It was extremely torquey and sounded good but I have retired it from racing because it just couldn't keep up with the 361's or the 357's/359's.
