Free Chainsaws? How to....

Hello all, what is the best way to obtain some free/extremely cheap broken chainsaws?

Go to a place that repairs them and ask. If you can find a saw for free, keep in mind that there's probably a good reason, i.e. it's garbage and isn't worth repairing, selling or keeping for spare parts.

It seems like the older models are not worth fixing at the shop
prices and the owners buy new and leave the old saws often
I have obtained them with dounuts, or coffee fund change

I put some ads in local Craigslist, FreeCycle, etc,. years ago.

‘Wanted: ‘Dead’ chainsaws. Must be complete’

I got a bunch.
