First burn of the season in my WBF add on. Love the feel of free heat and got a humidifier as well. All the work involved with the process keeps up the metabolism and lets me eat more junk food.

Love the sound of the whole system and blower just doin its thang makin everybody happy. Didn't clean the chimney so I kinda tip toed thru the fire up. Draft.....100%. 32 tonight and house will be in low 70's or higher. Burning mainly end chunks I can't sell and dead elm solids as it will take a 12" by 30" log.

Anyone else a firebug like me?

I usually keep it in the mid 90's myself... and I suppose the whole reason for doing this tree work crap is to keep myself in firewood.

Yep!

Nice....looks a little like a Vermont Castings Defiant I once had.

And yeah Dano....we may hafta eat cold soup outta the can but we ain't gonna freeze no balls off.

I have a few dump-sites that run boilers. They load chunks of "crap-wood" in with a for. One guy will come out and haul off loads of willow chunks for around $250 a trailer, short semi trailer at that.

I warm my cans of soup on the wood stove. Use to be if I wanted a hot bath I would have to start a fire under the bathtub.
