Good morning all! I'm having some issues with a stihl ms 441... I bought a hyway big bore kit for it. And once I got it together I noticed there was a free port on the bottom of the piston on the exhaust side when the piston is at TDC. and now this saw is dumping fuel into the carb.. Is the free port causing this issue?? See attached for picture. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I doubt your free porting is causing your fueling problems. explain in detail what's going on with your carb/fueling.

guessing your timing numbers are all jacked up.

It fires up just fine when cold, fine great cuts great, if it idles for too long (less than a minute) it just dies. Then it won't hardly start, pull the spark plug, wet like it's flooded. But if you pull the plug before it's flooded it's perfect tan brown color.

Is there a way to change the timing numbers? Different gaskets maybe

Went with a thinner gasket, the H & L settings were set to stick, then adjusted with tach.. The squish is sitting right at 22 thous.
