I spotted a birch log along the road that someone didn't want. It had been there a while and I thought I would take it home and see if it was any good. I milled it freehand with my 390 and found it spalted inside. Unfortunately, the white areas are to far gone. The mequite is from a trip to Oklahoma last year, it is mostly good (I spit it and kepted it covered) . Next step build a mill. Still some interesting wood and will get some bowl out of it. .
