Now it's Royb. (aka) Noel, Rick, tfj, theman, tommy. Your lack of intellect is your fingerprint. If you hadn't said anything, no one would have known.
I would be glad to post the letters from Mark Etcheberry thanking me for all my help, as soon as Dennis C. tells me that I didn't file crosscut saws for him. Be careful what you wish for.

An Old Timberfaller Saying

Just thought you might all get a kick out of this saying my old timber faller dad told me:

If music was Bull???? you'd all be a brass band.

Leslie Fales

hold on buckaroo

Thirty-three years in the woods has taken out the hips, but I took my first steps this week so I'll be running my hot saw before you know it!

Dennis C., I heard it wasn't timber falling that got your hips, but riding 'dem mechanical bulls at Buck's Crazy Horse Saloon in Chico, Ca.!

because i think theres got to be a rule somewhere,, that nobody got the rite on this forum to viciously try AND DISCREDIT ANOTHER FORUM MEMBER..we will each decide who we respect ,,thats a god given.. i dont even think its legal to attack a man like that..
now im thinking one of the age problems mite be involved in this..
i got lots o older customers .. sooner or later i know most will go thru this problem..this is not to label or know it all.. its just the only thing i can figure ,,unless there is a great wrong that happened in the past .. which would be none of our buisiness and dont belong here..art im not suggesting thats the case .. but u would think u stole his family, money, wife and whatever he had ,,the way the man acts.. i dont think u even know him ,,and i dont blame u for not wanting to..just my take on it..

ok has anyone ever made one of these over toothed things work
i made one and Dan , one of my friends made one , it did not work , my normal race chain killed it, i know Tommy has a fast chain but is it a over toothed chain or a normal number of teeth
and i know Art is using 1/2 on his 090 but i guess i need to be showin that this is faster so Art or anybody that is using this i would like to go to a show and see how bad i get my ass kicked by those over toothed chains

EHP, He's just like a top, the spin never stops. He just posts results from selected shows, and not all classes from those. I wasn't even at one of the shows he listed; I wonder if that might be why I didn't place in any of the classes at Tuolumne City! He must have also forgotten there was a second show in Oroville with times that could have been posted. But you know, he's the only one that can build a chain!
Ed, you know that nobody uses full house chain, and so do I. It's not a new concept, and if it was worth using, the big boys would be using it. But you keep using it art, you got the market cornered, and nobody can beat you, at least in your own mind!
Now art, what I said was you didn't have much luck with your handsaws, and from what I saw you didn't. Can they beat Jim Taylors? Again, I didn't say you didn't sharpen one for Mark E., so get off the spin. From what I heard your sharpening for Mark was good for pine but wouldn't cut the Aussie wood. So go spin on that art!
Come out of retirement art, anybody can make a straight off cut!
Dennis

Hey J.J., Did you get to know any of the pony girls in Chico! They liked the Aussies and Kiwi's. Dennis

sometimes an unjust thing got to be done in the name of rite.. kinda reminds me ofthe movie liberty valance..
no thas a movie.. but i saw mr.wayne go into the heart of yale colledge,, field their one sided opinion and at the end they mite not have aggreed with him.. but
none ofum wanted him one on one ,,in a debate anymore.. i gained a new respect for his being a man,,that nite.. some how in the movie world where is built on pretence.. a man who wasnt about pretending came out of it..and leftum with their mouth shut.. even the masterful intellectual professors..
chain saw.. yall dont leave this man alone and imjust gonna have to send u some real chain,,done by yours truely..lol
u havemade your point , tactless an unecessary as it is,, u have.. .. sayin anymore about this mans life amounts to just bullying somebody..
i cant be around a dam bully..once or twice i did it as a boy .. and i aint quite got it out my headto this day..
this is why i love boxing,, its the real deal. mr holiifield being a good example.. but heck they at least gettin paid for it..whats u motivation other than u just dont believe in art..and whats the pay off now..otherthan just trying to take a man dn cause u dont likeim..i don know art ,,i just get tired o bullys getin there way cause nobody will say nothin.
.stroker,, a fellow i knew ,,who ws the worst i ever saw at it.. met his end when he run into a man that scared or not ,,couldnt abide it either
at it..

Tony , this was not at Art , this was to anybody that has made any of these chains work ,and by work i mean better than a normal chassis, and Dennis is right on nobody here is using it even at shows you are allowed to use it, if it worked i am sure Harry B,Melvin L , the cogars, Jerry G, Gaston D, Cliff H , myself and alot of other guys would be using it, so Tony i want to be showed so i can try to make a faster chain for me and my guys

It seems to me that for a full house chain to be faster, it would need to be on a powerful saw, with a short bar, cutting small wood and using large chain.
In the past, Art mentioned it was hard to make full house cut faster than normal chain but added that there may be possibilities running semi-full house.

Yes, Mike it dose take a lot of power, but there are many verables in saw racing ( I.E. power, gearing, pitch, raker hieght, bar lenght ).
Ed finding someone whom has tested full house to its max could be the real question. Its hard enough to put one together, let alone doing the race treatment, that is where Art has most of us, heck he was filing and testing before I even had a saw, he once built a peg and racker chain that was the smoothist cutting thing I ever saw.
Only time will tell
Jon

Dennis,

I posted the times about how well the Rupley brothers have done in the past shows. It wasn’t about you. If your name was often in the losers’ column, did you just want me to remove it and pretend you weren’t there? Of course, you weren’t at the Toulumne show, but the Rupleys were and that’s why I posted it. We can also pretend that Jon’s actual, fast cutting time in Fort Bragg didn‘t happen. I do have a movie of that event and hopefully it will be posted soon.

Tom Fales, Sr. worked in the woods until he was 74 years of age and his hips are intact. I think you just wore yours out practicing cold starts with Tommy hour after hour. Just a thought.

Art Martin

Ok I see what's up with Art and his boy's now, you can't make a cold start cut?? and you are mad about that? Hey give the other guy dennis .C some credit he has made cold starts and hot starts and can do both, so i would think you need to practice MORE!!!!! Dont cry about it.

Tom Fales, Sr. worked in the woods until he was 74 years of age and his hips are inta

Hey my dad isn't that old yet.......heck he is only 73 and darn if he isn't sneaking back out there to retire at 74, your sure right about his hips, they are still in tact but his knee joints rub bone to bone and he can't hear worth a ???? but other than that I think he could go another year.

Leslie Fales

Thanks for explaining your spin again art, and post some video, I'd love to see it. I have lots of video I want you to see and enjoy too. My hip will be good as new soon, so I'm glad I learned how to cold start race when I did, but getting old and not being able to run a chainsaw anymore must be hell for a guy like you!
