Funny Sticker on Husky 137

my Husky 137 says 50hrs of use. that does not sound right. 50 hrs is not even close too much real time use.any body ever seen one of these stickers. mine 137 does not have a primer bulb . i am wondering if it may be worth rering this saw for more years of use. it runs fine with a 12" bar. just wish this saw had a set of dawgs. just wonder about the durability for use. this is mostly for limin and other quick small job saw.opcorn:

Your saw should last lots longer than that. The sticker just means that the saw is expected to meet its established EPA criteria for 50hrs. If the rest of the saw is ok and you like it, re-ring it (if it needs it)! Its cheap, its a fun project, and you'll save the cash.

You'll prolly get a few that say the saw is junky and you should huck it forthwith. My back and my wallet like my low-end Huskies! Many of the folks on here have 3, 5, 6, and more saws. Every well-rounded saw line-up needs a "junk" saw. Saves the nice ones from getting unessesary abuse.

+1 but Depends on what you mean by junk saw, beauty is in the eye of the beholder! And if you keep care of it, should last a long time. Those EPA # are funny things all those stickers all over a new saw I take them off as they P*** me off! So take care of it and enjoy your saw!

husky 137

i just bought it for a song thought it might be fun to see one in action. it is a lot lighter than anything in my collection except my 020 av top handle. it has the potential to be modified if i get drunk one night. i like the balance it just needs more cool factor add ons. i threw the bar and chain in my junk box and went and bought an 12" oregon bar and chain for it. it just fine just needs a set of dawgs . it needs a better way too scratch at the log it is the saw i do not feel guilty about loanin too ----->>>:newbie: wantabe loggers
