Hey ya all. Was out this morning at a garage sale. Noticed a Husky on the shelf above the workbench. Asked the guy what it was. He said its an old Husky. He then told me he had the clutch, sproket, new oregon pro lite bar and chain replaced at beginning of summer. He asked if i was interested. I said sure. He abrought it down said ya can have it for 150.00. I tried to fire it, started on the 4th pull. Smoked. He said I hadn run it for a while probably needs cleaned. Well we finally settled on 110.00. Took it home and cleaned it put in new gas and it runs like a bear. Couldnt pass it up for 110.00. How good was this saw??

old saw

When you are cleaning up a saw that has been sitting on the shelf for awhile (in someone elses garage) don't forget to change the fuel filter and drain the chain oil and rinse the oil tank out with a little gas. Some times you'll find sawdust and wood chips blocking up the oil pick up and by the time you notice the oiler isn't doing it's job right you've cooked the chain & bar. Sounds like you have a good saw at a nice price.

Already done that, but thanx much for the reminder. It really cleaned up nice. Starts on 1st pull when warm, 2nd or 3rd when cold. Seems like a really good saw. Thanx again for the info. These ???? chainsaws are almost as much funn as Harleys.
